And a few seconds of rather poor-quality footage of her sailing on Loch Lomond with Minna and the Maid of the Loch around 1968 here: http://youtu.be/Is-AUxvXplo. I will check with my mother (92 next week and still going strong) but I am fairly sure that when Yvette was sold (in the 1980s?) she went to Italy to be restored so cannot be 'Wyvette' in the photo.
If you look carefully at the photos in the set on Flickr, you will see that when my father first bought Yvette she had an open cockpit and no bowsprit: he was also given her original mast. He had a small cabin built for overnight cruising, but I believe this has since been removed again during restoration.
I will dig some more and post other photos to that Flickr set as I find and scan them.
SuSuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07578863087518893326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-875762894527152234.post-14892846146148989382012-05-08T00:26:31.692-07:002012-05-08T00:26:31.692-07:00Hi Su

Your dad's incident was four years before I met the Unities and started a friendship that also included some late nights. Your dad's Yvette seems to be a third one I didn't know about, more modern that the ones described above. I'll check her out.Ewanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08164790608082005605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-875762894527152234.post-25469645988015818562012-05-05T12:02:39.921-07:002012-05-05T12:02:39.921-07:00You might like to see a photo of Yvette in 1970 on...You might like to see a photo of Yvette in 1970 on my own blog?http://stayathome2010.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/snow-less-saturday.html - my father was Donald Atherton, an industrial chemist with a PhD rather than the medical degree implied in the article above. He was also a much better sailor than the incident I blogged might imply :)Suhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07578863087518893326noreply@blogger.com
